Early experience with robot-assisted cysto-ventriculostomy

ERŐSS Loránd, NAGY Gábor, MIKLÓS Gabriella, HALÁSZ László

Endoscopic cysto-ventriculostomy is a minimally invasive approach for intracranial cyst treatment. However, inadequate visibility within cystic spaces often complicates identifying adjacent anatomical landmarks like the ventricle, leading to procedural challenges and potential conversion to craniotomy.

Our experiences with endoscopic, endonasal resection of craniopharyngiomas

GUTEMA Emánuel, REISCH Róbert, NOVÁK László

The ideal surgical trajectory to craniopharyngiomas points through the nasal cavity. The magnification and illumination of the endoscope and nasoseptal flap utilization against CSF leakage made it possible that endoscopic endonasal surgery became the most favourable approach.

Modern classification of meningiomas – from conventional grading to integrated, comprehensive molecular diagnostics

SCHEICH Bálint

Meningiomas are the most common primary tumors of the central nervous system in adults. Most of the cases are characterized by an indolent behavior, but aggressive cases necessitating repeated surgery and oncological therapy mean a huge clinical burden.

Probabilistic tractography plays a vital role in guiding lead placement for deep brain stimulation (DBS) in individuals with essential tremor

ERŐSS Botond Ágoston, HALÁSZ László, MIKÓS Gabriella, TAMÁS Gertrúd, ERŐSS G. Loránd

Since the initial implementation of deep brain stimulation (DBS) for essential tremor by Pollack and Benabid, it has emerged as the gold standard treatment over the past three decades. However, achieving successful outcomes still relies heavily on accurate planning and electrophysiological mapping of the Vim(ventral intermediate nucleus of thalamus).
