Orbital schwannoma: a case report

Orbital schwannomas, accounts for 1-5% of all intra-orbital tumors. Schwannomas commonly arise from sensory nerves within the orbit, notably the supra-orbital and supra-trochlear branches of the frontal nerves, with involvement of infra-orbital, nasociliary, or lacrimal nerves possible.

Primary aneurysmal bone cyst of the thoracic spine: A pediatric case report

Aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC), comprising 1.4% of all primary bone tumors and 15% of all primary spine tumors, is a rare benign tumor. It is pathologically characterized by cystic, blood-filled spaces surrounded by thinned out cortical bone. Thoracic (32%) and lumbar spine (34%) involvement is common.

Pre-treatment patients´ expectations and factors affecting outcome of degenerative lumbar disease surgery

Majority of patients with sciatica caused by lumbar disc herniation (LDH) have a positive clinical course and good recovery after non-surgical treatment. Those patients treated surgically usually have good results in first few years of follow-up.

Intramedullar glioblastoma: A case report

Intramedullary glioblastoma is an extremely rare entity accounting for only 1.5% of spinal tumors. It is characterized by rapid progression. Here we report the case of a 51-year-old patient who presented with mixed low back pain associated with a urinary retention.

Treating neuropathic facial pain with gasserian ganglion stimulation

Medically intractable neuropathic facial pain is a debilitating disease. According to the 3rd Edition of the International Classification of Headache Disorders, it can result from conditions like multiple sclerosis or mass effect, and can also be linked to post-traumatic or post-herpetic nerve injuries.

Az elmúlt évtizedben az immunellenőrzőpont-gátlók forradalmasították az onkológiai kezeléseket. A kiváló hatékonyság mellett azonban új mellékhatásprofillal kellett szembenézni a betegeknek és orvosoknak. Az immunmediált mellékhatások közül gyakoriságukat tekintve kiemelkednek az endokrin mellékhatások, amelyek akár a betegek 40%-ánál is jelentkeznek.
