Outcomes of stereotactic radiosurgical treatment for glomus jugulare tumors: a single center study of 49 cases

Glomus tumors are rare benign skull base neoplasms that arise from chemo¬receptor paraganglionic cells, involving crucial structures such as cerebrovascular structures and lower cranial nerves. stereotactic radiosurgery has an increasing role in the management of glomus tumors as surgeries are complex and have a higher rate of morbidity and complication rates. The authors of this study examine the outcomes of radiosurgery treatment in a single centre patient population.

A prospective randomised trial on the management of post haemorrhagic hydrocephalus

The treatment of post-haemorrhagic hydrocephalus in premature newborns is one of the most challenging tasks in paediatric neurosurgery. To date there are two main methods for temporary management of hydrocephalus in this vulnerable group of patients: ventricular access device (VAD) and ventriculo-subgaleal shunts (VSGS). There is no high-quality evidence to support one method over the other, the best available evidence is coming from retrospective series.

Herein, we identify the enduring effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on transforming TBI management. It is an institutional analysis of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on TBI treatment, based on lessons learned from Croatian experience.
