Brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are vascular abnormalities that consist of a nidus, rather than a capillary bed, connecting a vein and an artery.
Deep-seated intracranial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) represent a subset of AVMs characterized by variably reported outcomes regarding the risk of hemorrhage, microsurgical complications, and response to stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).
These lesions are particularly difficult to manage due to their diminished exposure and proximity to critical structures and have been traditionally characterized as inoperable lesions.
Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is common therapeutic strategy for this subset of AVMs, owing to its noninvasive nature, and positive outcomes have been reported namely in small lesions.
The role of SRS in deep seated AVM’s will be discussed with personal series and existing literature.

Despite evidence based institutional protocols being in place in many countries, aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) continues to be a major socio-economic burden with many open questions remaining regarding the optimal management of the affected patients.

Not only other surgical and robotic fields, but minimally invasive procedures in spine surgery have undergone significant development in recent times. A demand emerged from both surgeons and patients to develop and perform these types of surgeries in order to prevent biomechanical and surgical complications.
