A Study for Monitoring Antimicrobial Resistance Trends eredményeinek ismertetése

A többcentrumos, prospektív, 2002-ben induló SMART felmérés (Study for Monitoring Antimicrobial Resistance Trends) célja az, hogy kövesse az intraabdominalis, majd később a húgyúti infekciókból származó, Gram-negatív izolátumok in vitro antibiotikum- érzékenységének változásait világszerte.

Egy gyermek sugárkezelésre felszívódó, rosszindulatú, intracranialis daganata

Our patient is a 9-year-old boy who was well until four months prior to admission to hospital following ataxia with persistent vomiting and later headaches. He was seen at the Sunyani Hospital in the northern part of Ghana and thereafter, referred to the neurosurgical department of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra. The patient, a class two pupil who lives with his parents, had no previous history of admission to hospital. On examination, he was ill-looking, though not pale, and afebrile. He was observed to be slightly wasted. He did not cough nor had dyspnoea. Chest radiograph was normal with uneventful cardiovascular system. He had ataxic gait and nystagmus, power was five in all limbs. Tone was slightly increased in the left lower limb. Laboratory data were nearly normal.

Fodor Mariann emlékére

Mariann was born 14th of November 1959 in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated as DDS from the Semmelweis University, Budapest (1980-1986), and she obtained her PhD degree (Medical) in 1992 in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. As a postdoctoral research fellow/PhD student she worked in the Laboratory of Neuromorphology, Department of Anatomy, Semmelweis University (1986- 1991). After participating in short scientific training programs and short-term fellowships (Pécs, Hungary 1988, National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda, USA, INSERM U159, Paris, France), as a postdoctoral research fellow, she worked in Paris in 1992-1993. From 1993, she lived and worked in Netherland. She was a visiting scientist in the Rudolf Magnus Institute, Utrecht (1993-1994), postdoctoral fellow in the Netherlands Institute for Brain Research, Amsterdam (1994-1998), postdoctoral fellow (1998-2001) then staff scientist (2001-2005) in the Department of Pediatrics, VUMC, Amsterdam. She became staff scientist at the Department of Anatomy and Embryology, University of Leiden, few months before she died.

A nosocomialis Gram-negatív patogének érzékenységének változása a meropenem és komparátorai iránt 2000-2004 között Két hazai, prospektív, multicentrikus felmérés adatainak elemzése

A Gram-negatív baktériumok által okozott infekciók jelentősége napjainkban sem csökkent. A Gram-pozitív kórokozókhoz hasonlóan a Gramnegatívok között is nőtt a rezisztens és multirezisztens baktériumok száma; felbukkantak a valamennyi Gramnegatív ellen ható antibiotikummal szemben rezisztens - pánrezisztens - törzsek. Az aktuális rezisztenciahelyzet megismerése érdekében ismételtük meg 2004-ben a 2000-ben végzett prospektív, multicentrikus felmérést a Gram-negatív aerob és a Bacteroides (B.) fragilisizolátumok körében. Ugyanakkor lehetőség kínálkozott arra is, hogy a hazai adatokat összehasonlítsuk a MYSTIC (Meropenem Yearly Susceptibility Test Information Collection) 2004-re vonatkozó, nemzetközi adatbázisával.

Az 1975/76. évi magyar-dán kulturális csereprogram 1/1. pontja alapján 6 hónapot (1976. január-július) töltöttem a koppenhágai egyetemi kórház neurofiziológiai laboratóriumában (Laboratory of Clinical Neurophysiology, Rigshospitalet), melynek vezetője F. Buchthal professzor, aki emellett az egyetem Neurofiziológiai Intézetét is vezeti.
