Enyhe-középsúlyos depresszióban hatástalanok az antidepresszánsok

Az akut major depressziós betegek többségében nem hatásosabbak az antidepresszívumok, mint a placebo - állapították meg egy gondos statisztikai módszerekkel végzett metaanalízisben. Csak az igen súlyos állapotú betegek esetében érhető el klinikailag számottevő javulás.

However, the application of the trial results still remains uncertain in some clinical situations. We set out to evaluate the various aspects of antithrombotic treatment use among clinical practitioners.

Chlorthalidon (12,5-25 mg/nap) vagy amlodipin (2,5-10 mg/nap), illetve lisinopril (10-40 mg/nap). Ha a célvérnyomást nem sikerült elérni, második lépésként atenolol (25-100 mg/nap), clonidin (2×0,1-0,3 mg/ nap) vagy reserpin (0,05-0,2 mg/nap) volt adható. Szükség esetén harmadik lépésként a terápiát 2×25- 100 mg hydralazinnal egészíthették ki.
