[The interdisciplinary question of in-family violence has been being researched for a long time. The major part of this problem is related to the connection between heavy drinking and infamily violence. The background of its importance can mainly be found in all of those social, economic and personal losses and expenses, which result in the number of missed working hours, the costs of sanitary, police, judicial, punishment cases, nonmaterial harms and personal tragedies. Considering that the question of in-family violence related to alcohol consumption has never been a subject to systematic research in Hungary, Research Institute of Addictology made an attempt to analyse the alcohological relations of in-family violence in course of the research project called 'Violent behaviour in family patients treated with alcohol problems in the domestic abuse'. Detailed plan of the research can be found on the webpage of the institute (www.adki.hu). Within the scope of this project we first surveyed the international technical literature of in-family violence. When editing the themes we worked according to the so-called Mendeleyev-table, which means the collection of technical literature from (mainly American) full-text databases accessible on the Internet while putting the possible themes into logical order.]

[Three decades ago, LAM was launched with the goal of providing scientific information about medicine and its frontiers. From the very beginning, LAM has also concerned a special subject area while connecting medicine with the world of art. In the palette of medical articles, it remained a special feature to this day. The analysis of the history of LAM to date was performed using internationally accepted publication guidelines and scientific databases as a pledge of objectivity. We examined the practice of LAM if it meets the main criteria, the professional expectations of our days, when publishing contents of the traditional printed edition and its electronic version. We explored the visibility of articles in the largest bibliographic and scientific metric databases, and reviewed the LAM's place among the Hungarian professional journals. Our results show that in recent years LAM has gained international reputation despite publishing in Hungarian spoken by a few people. This is due to articles with foreign co-authors as well as references to LAM in articles written exclusively by foreign researchers. The journal is of course full readable in the Hungarian bibliographic databases, and its popularity is among the leading ones. The great virtue of the journal is the wide spectrum of the authors' affiliation, with which they cover almost completely the Hungarian health care institutional system. The special feature of its columns is enhanced by the publication of writings on art, which may increase Hungarian and foreign interest like that of medical articles.]

Objectives: To discover the benefits of implementation of Imogene King’s nursing model into nursing care in a patient with arrhythmias. To find out how these patients are limited in saturation of their own needs and what are the most severe limitations for patients with arrhythmias. Material and methods: Qualitative research using semi-structured interviews. The interview with patients with arrhythmia was conducted in accordance with the structure of King’s nursing model. Results: The research group consisted of 20 respondents; 13 men and seven women. All respondents expressed satisfaction with their cooperation with staff. The respondents described a change in the subjectively perceived state, the psychic state, and emotions. Conclusions: Assessment of the subjectively perceived quality of life of patients with arrhythmias using the King’s interaction model allows nurses to see the patient from the holistic point of view and plan and provide individualized care.
