[Treatment of neuroendocrine syndromes with transcerebral electrostimulation]

DR NYÍRŐ Gyula, DR FORNÁDI Ferenc, DR BARTOS Valéria, KAFFKA Károly

[We describe our new treatment method, which we have shown to be suitable for the treatment of certain neuroendocrine disorders. The treatment results of 16 anorexia nervosa and 31 amenorrhoea cases demonstrate that it represents a new therapeutic option for the treatment of endocrine syndromes resulting from central nervous system dysfunction. Its main significance is that it restores neuroregulatory activity in disorders that do not respond to other treatments. Further studies on the mechanism of action of this treatment, the area of indication, etc. are ongoing. Probably, that the effect is to indirectly influence hypothalamic function.]
