[Clinical and pathopsychological observations in 25 cases of subacute progressive panencephalitis]

LÓRÁND Blanka

[Author concludes from clinical and pathopsychological examination of 25 cases of subacute progressive penencephalitis: 1. the EEG greatly facilitates early diagnosis; 2. in the majority of cases, the onset of the disease occurred in the autumn-winter months; 3. regionally, the western counties play the most important role, except in the capital; 4. found the 8-9 age group to be the most at risk, with an even gender distribution; 5. from the succession of pathopsychological examinations and the symptomatic picture, he concludes that the process starts in the perietoccipital region and progresses from the back to the front; 6. in terms of clinical type, the van Bogaert-type course is the most frequent, but many transient forms have also been observed. ]
