Az Európai Bizottság közzétette a második Eurobarométer-felmérés eredményeit az elektromágneses terekkel kapcsolatban. A lakosság és a média fokozott érdeklődése is indokolta a 2006-os kutatás folytatását, lehetővé téve a változások követését. A jelentés néhány kulcsfontosságú megállapítása az elektromágneses terek lehetséges egészségügyi kockázatai miatti aggályokra, az ezzel kapcsolatos tájékoztatásra, illetve az állami hatóságok és az EU szerepére vonatkoznak
