Fodor Mariann emlékére

Mariann was born 14th of November 1959 in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated as DDS from the Semmelweis University, Budapest (1980-1986), and she obtained her PhD degree (Medical) in 1992 in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. As a postdoctoral research fellow/PhD student she worked in the Laboratory of Neuromorphology, Department of Anatomy, Semmelweis University (1986- 1991). After participating in short scientific training programs and short-term fellowships (Pécs, Hungary 1988, National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda, USA, INSERM U159, Paris, France), as a postdoctoral research fellow, she worked in Paris in 1992-1993. From 1993, she lived and worked in Netherland. She was a visiting scientist in the Rudolf Magnus Institute, Utrecht (1993-1994), postdoctoral fellow in the Netherlands Institute for Brain Research, Amsterdam (1994-1998), postdoctoral fellow (1998-2001) then staff scientist (2001-2005) in the Department of Pediatrics, VUMC, Amsterdam. She became staff scientist at the Department of Anatomy and Embryology, University of Leiden, few months before she died.
